Marketed as a crossover between a sports car and an SUV, the Mazda CX-7 made an instant impact on the market when it was introduced in 2007. The Mazda CX-7 is the manufacturer’s first step into the mid-size SUV market since the Navajo was discontinued in 1994. It boasts an all-new platform and takes some of the components of Mazda’s most popular vehicles such as the rear suspension of the Mazda5 and the all-wheel drive of the Mazda6 MPS. On its launch, the Mazda CX-7 was described as a unique balance of performance and practicality with true flexibility.

I’ve had this car for 5 months now and I have to say it really does live up to it’s SUV/sportscar crossover sales pitch. You can really push this car and it just keeps giving; I do a lot of mileage, here and throughout Europe and this car has loved everything I’ve thrown at it. On the downside, it’s not the cheapest car in it’s class to run. Great family car, very comfortable and spacious. Good looking car too. Thumbs up.
