Mine has an immobiliser fault, so only starts sometimes! It’s about time Nissan sorted these faults out as they are costly to get checked and in a lot of cases the garage can’t sort the fault. Nissan should know that this puts people off buying their cars even though overall their cars are great to drive.

I have owned my Almera Tino for 6 months and I wish I had never bought it. It’s noisy, sore on petrol and badly built; if this is Nissan reliability I am going back to vauxhall. The gearstick started rattling like a rattlesnake a month after I bought it, the engine management light has come on twice, the cd player has packed in, one of the rearseat levers for folding down seat has snapped and my wife has started calling it our very own ice cream van because of the way it rolls going round corners. Nissan reliability my ar**! Never again.

Very underrated MPV. I bought mine second hand a couple of years ago and have enjoyed nothing but reliable and and comfortable driving. We’ve taken ours the length and breadth of Britain and also around Ireland a few times and it’s never let us down. The only downside are the rear seats, which would be a little more flexible if they weren’t so heavy to move! Great family car and available at very reasonable prices.
