Bought this car 18 months old with just over 48k on the clock. Lovely car initially, but within weeks it had been back and forward to the garage. Rear tailgate kept popping open - this is a very common problem on the estate version. Needed a new mechanism, replaced under warranty. Rear brake light unit needed replacing. At 56,000 miles the fuel injectors went. Repair bill was almost £2,000. Headlamp bulbs went almost every six months. Various other faults came to light including faulty door locking mechanism, a fuel pipe problem, a cam shaft sensor replacement and so on. Averaged every three months was back at the garage for a fault or repair. In three years it cost me well over £3,000 in repair costs. Eventually had a complete power failure as I was overtaking a vehicle on the dual carriageway. Frightening stuff. I sold it last month, and lost well over half of the value from purchase. Wouldn’t ever have another, in spite of the badge. One plus point was that I got excellent fuel consumption, so when it did run well, it was a pleasure to drive. Just those times were rare.
