I have a 407sw 1.6 diesel on a 54 plate and without doubt it is the biggest pile of cack I have ever owned. Currently locked away in shame for having blown its turbo (I think.) All I know is it starts but it won’t rev and won’t move. 74,000 on the clock when I got it and 2,000 miles later and as much use as a ashtray on a motorbike. The turbo is a Garrett and costs bloody fortunes too. I have had dozens of warning lights about emissions and tyres and bulbs blowing almost weekly. Trust me It’s C**P, avoid it. Do as I did, when it went wrong I went out and bought a £400 Mitsubishi which has never let me down and is a damn sight cheaper than a new turbo.

I have had few regrets in my life but buying this vehicle by far, is the biggest!! I can only take a little comfort to see I am not alone!! (sorry), My beautiful head turning Pug, conceals a host of problems steming from depollution error codes to early clutch replacement. WARNING!!! Please turn away from the gaze of its beauty or you too will turn to stone!
