I have a Y reg Scudo, which I paid £1800 pounds for a year ago. It’s just the best van and does an average 40 mpg. If you’re going to get one make sure its an old one, my mate has a new one for work and let’s just say it’s cost a few quid in repairs and his is only a year old.

Fiat Scudo 20 jtd 2001

We bought a Scudo from an auction. Previously owned by a vending company (in Lincoln) when we picked it up it wouldn’t run properly; coughs and splutters when half revs were reached. We had it checked out on a computer and found the turbo was faulty, airflow meter faulty, suspension bushes badly worn, oil in water (head gasket gone). Tyres off all the time (tracking spot on), major diesel leak when tank nearly full, plus lots of other defects. Eventually sold it privately and are glad to get rid of it after losing a small fortune on it. Somebody elses problem now.

Fiat Scudo 19 el 2001

Bought my van, brand new 51 plate no problems with it at all, 85000 miles, never been in a garage except for services. Extremely reliable, was on the verge of px for the new shape scudo until I read reviews; I know from experience that Fiat dealers are useless, but still liked the van. Sounds like I won’t be investing in the new shape. Cheers for all reviews.

I bought mine from new in 2001. Currently I have clocked up 225000 miles. It uses no oil, i’ve had no leaks, it’s never broke down once. I’ve just serviced it my self, changing the oil every 5000 miles and I have fitted a new set of heater plugs at 180000 miles, this thing is bullet proof. No rust whatsoever and has never failed an mot, a fantastic van!
