Peugeot Boxer autohomes motorhome wildwind 2000

5 star review

Hi, always had Fords (cars & vans) still like them ref: Transit connect. However in spring 2007 I wanted a motorhome. Couldn’t find a Ford anywhere in UK, so decided on an Autohomes Peugeot Boxer 1.9 Turbo. This was the first time for a motorhome, therefore bought from a dealer, very helpful, OK you pay a lot more, but when parting with money in the high ’K’ teens, you don’t want mistakes and problems. The dealer serviced the vehicle well and I’ve never looked back. I have a lot of fun in it all through the year. I am well impressed with it, acceleration and hill climb great. Fortunately I have not experienced any problems in the past 3 yrs and hope this continues. Snow, ice, rain or wind, no problem. Autohomes and Peugeot, a great combination. I feel I have been very lucky.

I bought the van on the hop, the Transit rust was over the top, a new mot, for which I was grateful would this joy last ? It was doubtful, first a tyre that just gave up the ghost then a new clutch, too much for most, I couldn’t get second so off came the cable, I had it a week on my kitchen table. Then trouble with starting, the motor jammed; a new one of those was not what I had planned, glow plugs and filters, my cards about to melt! I almost forgot the bloody cam belt! It still will not run, my mechanic is on it! He is almost afraid of what’s under the bonnet so I will never buy Peugeot again in my life It’s so temperamental you could call it a wife!

Absolutely impossible to fault, I’ve owned it for 3 years now and it has never put a foot wrong. Needed brakes and NOTHING else. I would trust it anywhere! Almost 200,000 miles on the clock, original engine. Will be very sad the day I have to part with it.
