Available as both a saloon and an estate, the Fiat Marea is a family car produced by the Italian manufacturer that has many of the hallmarks of the popular Fiat Brava/Bravo range. Essentially, the Fiat Marea applied a different body type to the Bravo/Brava when launched in 1996 but replaced the Fiat Tempra. Most of its early production came directly from two Fiat plants in Italy and a larger version of the model was produced known as the Fiat Marea Weekend. Production of the Fiat Marea was effectively ceased in 2002 when the Marea Weekend was replaced by the Stilo MultiWagon though the Fiat Marea is still produced in some markets.

Can honestly say this is the best car I have ever owned. In the old days when I had money I have owned a Jaguar XJ8 and XKR (Supercharged), BMW’s etc etc... NONE of which have given me as much pound for pound enjoyment as my Marea. Have done the brakes and suspension drop links since I have owned it (three years so far), also had the cambelt done at 65K. The cambelt was quite expensive at £300, but I now have a no worry, cheap to maintain and reliable car that has that the priceless ability to make you smile. I look forward to every journey. Not quite Ford Focus (had an ST170) handling, but competant, comfortable and solid on the road. The 155 especially is a true wolf in sheep’s clothing. Fuel consumption is 28-34 MPG, so its no eco-chariot. But all in all a brilliant car. The 2.4 diesel must be awsome!!
